Perfumes and essential oils have been used by people since ancient times. Today, the perfumes can be found worldwide, from ordinary everyday fragrances to famous and well-known fashion designer perfumes. There are many reasons why people wear perfumes, but basically it comes to the fact that perfumes make people feel happy. The reason why people feel happy generally depends on the individual needs, but can range from the memories the scent invokes, from the pheromones, a feeling of freedom, etc. A perfume is invisible accessory that completes the outfit of every woman and man, regardless of the brand or price. A couple of drops from your favorite scent can boost self-esteem and confidence and make you feel fabulous.
When it comes to perfumes, every little thing matters, from notes, size and colour to bottle and packaging design. Marketers know that things that may seem insignificant to you are in fact the key elements that attract the consumers’ attention. For example, is the color of the perfume a decisive factor for you? Probably not. Here is one surprising fact: Did you know that most women actually choose perfumes according to their color?
Psychologist say that the favorite perfume color tells a lot about the personality. The color is a manifestation of our moods and emotions. For example, a woman who chooses combination of orange, yellow, pale green and red, is an active, extroverted, positive and optimistic person who prefers fresh floral perfume notes. Woman with a preference for pastel and purple color, or colors like mauve and blue black, tends to be pensive and introverted. She is more interested in oriental scents.
But be careful, because the color of the perfume is not always like the color of the bottle. If you have any doubts, don’t hesitate to ask the perfume dealer to take a picture of the perfume bottles on a white background. If there is any variation of the color then you will know that this is not the actual color of the perfume. Fake fragrances have color which can be dark or too light. One may be too dark, while other too light. For example, the original Chanel perfume has a distinctively darker color than the fake Chanel perfume.
The perfume color should be more concentrated/slightly darker than the eau de perfume color, and eau de perfume should be darker than the color of eau de toilet. Let’s take the Chanel perfume line for example.
